CIA POINTS TO HAMAS FOR PEACE CIA Deputy Director David Cohen Leaves Peace Deal In Hamas Leaders Hands

Yahya Sinwar Hamas Leader

The Pressing Question: Will Hamas Agree To Ceasefire Terms?

The chances of a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas depend heavily on the leader of Hamas, according to Deputy CIA Director David Cohen. Although Cohen didn't mention Hamas' leader, Yahya Sinwar, by name, he did say that Israel is taking the negotiations seriously. The U.S., along with Egypt and Qatar, is working hard to mediate a deal between the two sides to avoid a larger regional conflict.

Both sides are stuck on what they want. Israel insists on keeping control of two key areas in Gaza: the central corridor and the southern border. However, Hamas says this was never part of the original plans that the U.S. presented. The U.S. has tried to convince Israel to limit the number of soldiers, but now Egypt has stepped in and said they don’t want any Israeli troops on their border at all.

People keep asking why the U.S. is so involved in the situation between Hamas and Israel and why both sides keep relying on the U.S. to make decisions. I personally believe it’s because the U.S. wants to use diplomacy instead of weapons, especially since there are still American hostages involved. I don't think the U.S. would be as involved if it weren't for those hostages being held by Hamas.

🗺️ AFRICA: CHAD

Protest In Chad Africa

  • The U.S. has begun talks again about the future of its military presence in Chad, a country in Africa that is now questioning its relationship with the American military. In the past month, top officials from the State and Defense departments visited Chad's capital, N’Djamena, to meet with the Chadian government and military leaders to discuss their security partnership.

I made an educated guess when I first saw this story and figured the U.S. wanted to use Chad as a new base for troops after Niger asked the U.S. to leave, and it turns out I was right. The U.S. has been open about wanting to form a security partnership with Chad.

LEBANESE MEDIA GAVE A 48-72 HOUR TIMELINE FOR IRAN TO STRIKE

Pentagon In Washington D.C

Arab states recently visited the Pentagon to talk about the issues happening in the Middle East. Somehow, Lebanese media reported that during this meeting, it was said that Iran would strike in 48-72 hours. The Pentagon responded to this story, confirming that the Arab states did visit, but they never mentioned or gave any specific timing for an attack.

I’ve been reporting news for a long time, and I want to give some advice to readers of this newsletter. When you see news from random countries with exact timelines or news sources that seem to have all the details, it’s often fake news meant to create drama or get clicks. Always be cautious with reports like these.

I do want to point out however the U.S still holds the position that Iran will most likely retaliate at some point while this conflict occurs or continues.
