ISRAEL STRUGGLES WITH PUBLIC SUPPORT Massive Protest Call To End The War With Hamas

Israeli Protest In Tel Aviv

The Pressing Question: Will Israel Give Up Their Demands For Peace?

Around 500,000 Israelis have protested, even causing Tel Aviv airport to shut down for two hours. They want Prime Minister Netanyahu to end the war with Hamas and reach an agreement. The protests grew after reports that six recent hostages were executed 48-72 hours before they were found. This fueled support for the biggest protest yet during this conflict.

Israel has always said it doesn't negotiate with terrorists and will eliminate Hamas's ability to carry out attacks like the one on October 7th. This includes holding onto the Philadelphi Corridor, which borders Egypt and Gaza. However, Defense Minister Gallant has now stated that maybe it's time to give it up, as holding onto the corridor has become a burden.

As I write this, it doesn’t seem like Netanyahu will change his stance, especially since Hamas is still carrying out suicide car bomb attacks and has escalated by executing hostages.
